Transpiring is inspired by the damp, dense evergreen forests of eastern British Columbia and western Alberta. The solid, vertical tree trunks and feathered branches moving between them are matched by repetitive vertical chords and slowly shifting colours. This piece was composed for Latitude 49, who were incredible to collaborate and workshop with as we created this. They have performed it in Princeton, NJ and in Galesburg, IL.
